Outdoor adventure.
It’s why 70% of kids say they wanted to join Cub Scouts. Sadly, only 32% of cub scouts in our council attended a summer camp in 2019.
Pack 383 does have a better record than the council average. Pack 383 had 75% of it’s youth attend summer camp in 2022. (Way to go Pack 383!!!!) Everyone that went got to experience some of the amazing facilities and staff that the Cascade Pacific Council (CPC) has worked so hard to develop. It takes a lot of money to upkeep and upgrade these camps. The CPC annual budget for camp is approximately $3.5 million, which is about half of their entire budget.
Camp4All replaces the previous donation program called Friend of Scouting. The focus of Camp4All is specifically to invest in the camp properties and camping programs of CPC. Specifically, the Camp4All funds will only go toward:
Camp scholarships
Camp-related activities & programs
Equipment
Maintenance & supplies
Camp staff
There are a lot of exciting improvements coming to CPC camp properties, including:
All outhouses are being upgraded to flushing toilets (no more stink)
New shower houses at multiple camps
All new water system at Butte Creek
New training facilities at Meriwether, including an upgrade to the historic Big Lodge and a new Outdoor School Housing Project
New cooking equipment at Baldwin
Because our Pack has such a successful camping program, we are in a unique position to help the council and therefore help other Cub Scout units. Please donate today, and please share the link below with your friends and family. If we can exceed our goal, the Council will give us some amazing gifts which include free weekend camping at any CPC property and free rank advancement badges.
