Webelos Woods

$35.00

WEBELOS Woods is a Scouts BSA level camping event, where WEBELOS and AOL Scouts are invited to spend the weekend in a Scout-led environment.

The purpose of Webelos Woods is to serve as an opportunity for Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts to see Scouts BSA troops in action and participate in age-appropriate activities. Ideally, Webelos Woods will serve as a recruiting and retention tool for Cub Scouts aging out of the program. As a result of Webelos Woods, Scouts should better understand ethical outdoor behavior and demonstrate Scout Spirit through following the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Webelos Woods this year will be the weekend of October 17-19th. Registration through October 8th is $35, then $40 through October 16th.

Your registration fee includes lodging in our fabulous Adirondacks or mini-daks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday, all of the activities, and a commemorative patch.

The district is still working up the list of activities, but last year they had archery, the climbing tower was open, there were stations for fire building, knot tying, cast iron cooking, a canoe portage, a monkey bridge, and many many more exciting activities, which they expect to see again this year. Stations are hosted by Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crews, and Sea Scout Ships from the district, so this is also an opportunity to see those units in action as your scouts make the leap from Cub Scouting to Scouting.
